Urging Sen. Obama to stop being bullied by Wall Street

It is disappointing that while House Republicans were able to listen to the people in their constituencies, listen to ex Federal Reserve Board members how the bailout plan of giving money to banks who have paid out more than 3 B to just their CEOs in the last 3 years while losign billions for shareholders and making billions off the people who have taken loans from them, while House Republicans refused to bullied by their leaders by the traders on the stock market, Sen. Obama did nto show ANY of the leadership and change he has so promised. We urge you Sen./ Obama to take some tiem and talk to people who have supporeted you whether they feel money should be GIVEN ( in whatever form ) to the institutions and the traders who have made hundreds of billions while creating the problem. People like Bill GRoss had pointed out significant possibility of this happening while the need to make mroe profits and leverage the money more drove companies to ignore all this and forge ahead.

Thankfully to House Republicans Sen. Obama you still have time, pleasetry to work out a much better solution o this than what understandably biased Treasury Secretary has proposed so far. Please look at Warren Buffett's way of capital injectio. If Goldman Sachs ( Paulson's old company ) had to borrow from Buffett with such an enticign deal the U.S. taxpayer should not be forced to give money getting back this almost worthless bad debt! Please at least get us a deal like Buffett.

Oprah wins it for Obama

No single event changed the US 2008 presidential race as much as Oprah's endorsement of Sen. Barrack Obama. It created such a huge tide in Sen. Barrack Obama's favor that one should almost question whether a voice so familiar to people should be allowed to change their opinions. But I guess the same can be said about Bill Clinton. But Oprah is undoubtedly the most powerful person on TV right now.

stock options

one can see why stock options are great for an employer but there seem to be no reason why a person working in a company would prefer stock options to cash for diversification and attachment etc reasons except if the company is very small and there is some serious ownership opportunity being passed over.

more on google...

following up on my last post about investing in google and I in a vague imitation of nejamin graham's principles chose Dell over google, it turns out that as far thevalue of the investments is concerned both would have been rather rotten for the last two months but google lost almost 33% whereas dell lost 2%. the overall market ( snp ) made 2%. I have been reading the little book that beats the market,. I like the guy's appraoching to selling investment advice.

Can google still go up?

I guess that is not the question hedge fund managers look at. That is the question everybody else, the spectators of the stock market, look at and people put their money in these stocks thinking that maybe everybody else was right and they were wrong not bettng on it.. so let's correct our mistakes. But the truth is that the best fund managers bet on stocks whose names don't matter to them. In google's case if t can go up good for it and all its employess. Personally I think Dell has better chances of a 50% increase in the next two years, given the proactive thought process shown by upper management recently. SO although it's regression line is rather steeply low, it's good enough for me.
